Aaaahhhh Yeahhhh!
I'll be doing a full report with back stage gossip, an UrbanVoice UK first ever interview with Coldside and pictures. Check back next week for the report and my opinion on Manchester's music scene.

BBC Radio 1 Hackney Weeekender

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH YEEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!! I'm a bit excited, can you tell? The reason being is that I have managed to secure tickets to BBC Radio 1's Hackney Weekender taking place in the Hackney Marshes on 23 & 24 June.  I waited patiently in the ticket queue on the internet for just under 1 hour until I got my ticket for the Sunday and the best part is that it is completely free, that's right NO charge, zilch, nada! Except for a £2.50 admin fee which can't even get you a kebab take away nowadays and considering it will cost more for me to actually get there and back on the tube this gig is an absolute bargain! The line up is below and whilst I'm gutted I didn't get tickets to see Jay-Z and Leona Lewis on the Saturday I will instead get to see the likes of Tinie Tempah whom I still haven't seen live, Wretch 32, Lana Del Ray, Jessie J and many more incredible acts. Let me know if you are going, what day and who you are most looking forward to seeing live?

One last thing, thank you to BBC Radio 1 for making this unique event happen!!! Bring on the summer.

Video's from Tulisa and Lethal B - A lot can happen in a Week

A lot can change in 24 hours let alone 1 week. I was flying out to Berlin on Monday last week and while I was casually flicking through twitter waiting for my flight to begin boarding at the airport I saw my timeline going crazy with comments about Tulisa, from NDubz. I'm sure you all know the story about the leaked sex tape which sees Tulisa performing a sexual act with an unknown male now identified as hte well know garage artist MC Ultra. Now, in my opinion this could happen to anyone and whatever Tulisa chooses to do in her private life with her partners is entirely up to her. All I thought was how is she going to bounce back from this and will it break her career?

The answer is NO! Tulisa manged to rise above all the harsh remarks made against her on twitter and instead had the courage to confirm to all her fans on her twitter page that the person in question was her, that she was young and the tape was leaked without her knowledge. Fair play - this shows Tulisa's resilience and maturity. Good for her!!  On the other hand in response to this, Lethal B produced a blog video that has people up and down the country creasing and for days saying 'LEAVE IT YEAAAHHHHH!!!'. Although I like Lethal B he comes across a little bit deranged in this blog video which makes it entertaining to watch.  Both videos can be shown below.

Tulisa's new song due for release soon coincidently titled 'Young' has also been getting a lot of radio play this week.  Talk about timing luv!!!

NEW VIDEO: DDARK - TWITTER

Giving his opinion on the social media craze that is Twitter DDark delivers a comical and addictive track aptly named 'Twitter'.  This video will certainly bring a smile to your face and you will even spot a few familiar faces featuring in the video such as Lucien and Kele Le Roc.  In my opinion there's a little bit of genius here as this is a clever spin on the use, politics and popularity of twitter and I'm sure if you tweet yourself you will relate to a few lyrics in this DDark track. So go on then, what are you waiting for follow man on twitter!!!!! @ddarkonline

For more information on DDark find him on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/ddarkartist
I don't even need to bother with the link for DDark's twitter page because if you have watched the video you will have memorised it by now!

NEW VIDEO: Showa Sho - Part Of The Plan

Yep, certain songs go down quite well on a spring afternoon like today and this next video is no exception. It's tunes like this, Showa Sho 'Part of the Plan', that makes me regret selling my car because right now if I had a car I would be blaring this out of my speakers.  Here is the offical video for Showa Sho's latest track 'Part of the Plan'. Despite looking so young in the video Showa Sho is mature in his lyrical approach and my favourite line is 'hardwork pays off, so try excel'. Real Talk! Don't forget to hit that 'like' button below if you're feeling it. Enjoy!

Videos and More - My March 2012 so far

Hey, hey!!! there's lots going on this month, so much so I'm finding it hard to keep up with my blog. March so far has been full of exciting and brand new tunes, video's, collaborations and lots of artists coming to my attention for the first time as well as MOVE IT 2012 (a dance exhibition). It must be something to do with the year 2012 and the Olympics taking place this summer because I am definitely feeling the love and  general air of proud to be British right now. Instead of knocking ourselves back in that typical British self depriciation way we are now self-promoting and believing in ourselves.  This brand new attitude seems to be paying off in relation to UK music as it seems that talent is boiling over the edge right now. Of course, UrbanVoice UK is always dedicated to supporting UK talent and so I'm liking this brand new attitude!

Mikey J & The UK Female Allstars - Rock The Mic

This has been one of my favourite songs of the year so far. Mikey J mainly known for his collaborations with Kano joins forces with Amplify Dot, Baby Blue, Lioness, RoxXxan, Mz Bratt and Lady Leshurr for the banger 'Rock The Mic'.  Mikey J has selected female MC's at the top of their game spitting hard bars on this memorable, bouncy beat and the females definitely do this beat justice.  You'll find it hard not to bop your head to this one - Enjoy!!

Cashtastic - Gassed In The Rave featuring Krept & Konan

Here the official video for Cashtastic - 'Gassed In The Rave' featuring Krept & Konan.  The single is taken from Cashtastic's mixtape 'A LIL BIT OF CASH', released on December 19th, 2011.
